Using Quickbooks and Moneygrit to Manage Your Business
Quickbooks Online is a full fledged accounting software program that helps you track your finances and prepare financial reports for tax purposes. Quickbooks offers robust financial reporting such as Profit and Loss Reports, Balance Sheets, Statement of Cash Flows, Sales Tax Liability Reports, and so on. Most of these reports are geared towards accounting professionals and tax preparers. Although these reports are essential for running your business and providing a snapshot of the health of your business, they are not necessarily meaningful and helpful to the average lay person for planning and budgeting purposes.
Moneygrit for Business is a financial tracking and budgeting program that will show you exactly where you are in the month or the year. You create your spending plan for the month or year, plug in your expected income and expenses, download your business transactions and make adjustments to your plan in real time. The summary page will tell you if your plan will work based on the actual transactions. This is a far more intuitive and helpful way to manage your business expenses.
